Crafting Time

So some sewing has been happening.  These are some different things I have taken to Genevieve's Home, in Blue Springs.  I played around with making Patchwork Belts, and I am trying to make some flower brooches that are a bit different than what I have done in the past.  I am always grateful for the time to play!

This old quilt was spotted in an antique store in Brunswick.  I thought it was pretty clever.

This was my attempt to make a necklace, with a friend of mine.  Making jewelry is not a skill-set I have, so I am sure it is just a matter of time before this breaks.  But we had fun trying!  I found an etsy shop that has adorable necklaces, and her workmanship is perfect. I think if I want to wear fun jewelry, then I need to save my money and pay the professionals to do their thing!

Happy week!
