Planner Fun

On my first day of summer, I cleaned up a crafty corner of our house.  What was originally designed to be a gift wrapping station had turned into a catch-all over the past few years.  It took over 3 hours to tidy up and reorganize this space, but it was just what I needed to make a few changes in this space.  Now, it is more of a happy mail/gift wrapping/planner station.  The kids have easy access to anything they need, and I feel a bit more organized.  Whew!

Then I spent the rest of the day being crafty.  After 24 years of teaching, I bought myself a personal laminator.  Where were these things 2 decades ago?!  I am an office supply nerd, I know.

I was able to take a couple of classes at Genevieve's Home this month, and we learned how to make midori-style journal covers and then learned about personalizing our planners.  While I only really need a calendar and a place for my to-do lists, I have had a lot of fun making my planner exactly what I want it to be.  The fun tag is from Sara at The Rosy Life blog.  I'm also taking the online class by Christy Tomlinson, so I'll be sure to share more photos of planner projects that I complete.
