Karl's Quilt
It's finished! Every last bit of my fabrics of choice can be found in this quilt. Uneven cuts of odd-sized triangles, strips, and tidbits were used to make this quilt, so there is a lot to take in visually. The back of the quilt was made of quilt blocks that I made in my Denyse Schmidt improv class from 2012...or was that 2011? My thread kept breaking, there are some puckers, and my machine was skipping stitches (not sure how to fix that problem...yet). But, I loved the process! It was fun to make the puzzle pieces and then make the pieces all fit together. Karl can travel with it, and hopefully sleep well.
After this big project was finished, I felt the need to tidy up the craft room and finish up a pillow project that was started a long time ago.
Now that my space is tidy and ongoing projects are finished, it's time to get started on new projects. My blog friend Sara has written a post about her blessing basket. I love it. Don't you think Mother Teresa's quote goes right along with this?
