This is the usual state of this quilt, wadded up on the couch, with remotes strewn about. Those are supposed to be placed on the little end table when tv time is finished. I know I have said that a few times, at least! The kids love this quilt. The dog loves this quilt. When I lifted the quilt off the couch, I found a Cheeto hidden underneath. I know I have said that we eat in the kitchen a few times, at least!
Why do we love it? For me, I love the happy energy I get when I curl up under this quilt to catch a short nap. As for the kids, I have no idea why this is the one. I think I know why Shiloh loves this quilt...maybe hidden Cheetos. She is simply a quilt dog. Whatever quilt is there, she will snuggle all up in it.
As for the fabrics, I focused on red, blue, yellow, green, and a neutral. All happy colors! The construction was simple and fun...enough so, that I am ready to make another in different fabrics!
So, that's my favorite quilt story. We are all about happy, messy, nap-catching, cozy comfort here. That's how I like it!
YES! Happy energy with great happy colors! I too have made one and have one in the works. I like how you have the blues to add a little structure to the pattern. Your cheeto comment made me chuckle! Lots of goldfish in our couch (Shhh!)
