I have always thought that the planning (and shopping) for my projects was the best part, and have typically been easily distracted into not finishing projects in a timely manner. But I must say, finishing feels great.
Some extra special notes about this project:
*I used every last drop of fabric that I had purchased (on a whim) on major sale for the pillow backs and the quilt backing and binding.
*Anna picked out all of her favorite fabrics from my stash. This quilt is so HER!
*This was the largest quilt I have machine quilted (successfully).
*I found two blue buckets in the $1 aisle at Target that match the binding perfectly and can be a hiding spot for her "stuff."
*The dog likes it. I hope I can keep the white blocks clean!
*The only way I could have done this is because we had 4 snow days, and the kids have been so happy to not be at school that they have played peacefully while I sewed. I almost hate to write that because as soon as I post this, a squabble will happen.
*Some household chores were ignored during the making of this quilt (as usual).
On to the next project!
****Additional Notes:
ReplyDelete*I realized the Peace sign pillow is upside down in the photo. Oops.
