Ugh!

My good intentions included using up the excess red and blue fabric that I had purchased when I made Andrew's train quilt a few years ago. This fabric has been sitting in my closet for a long time, waiting patiently for me to make a decision about how to best use it. My other good intention was to make an Americana-inspired quilt. Did I actually think I was going to finish it by the 4th of July by starting it June 30?

This quilt is based on this quilt. http://www.filminthefridge.com/2009/04/24/a-colorful-string-quilt/

Now, with the prospects of having to make 35 more of these 12" blocks, I find myself very sick of it. I will try to remember my original intentions...that this is a great stash buster and scrap buster...and it would be patriotic of me to FINISH it! I will "Press ON," as Karl so kindly says. That's his motto, and it's a worthy one.

p.s.

Disregard the little quilt in the right hand corner. It has nothing to do with this post. :)
