Improvisational quilting is awesome. The pink/orange block is for Project Improv. The quilt top is what I pieced using my scraps from the Denyse Schmidt workshop I attended in 2007. It took me a year to decided what to do with the scraps, and it has taken me another year (so far) to make a decision about how to finish it. Machine quilt? Hand quilt? What pattern? Hang up the finished quilt? Use it as a lap quilt? I know these decisions are not life altering, but this piece is important to me. I can barely get to Walmart with my list in hand, let alone fly to New York, navigate through New York City, and drive to Connecticut to take that class. I still can't believe that I was able to do this. I want to honor this piece. I will finish it!
I love both of those. The block is really great. I think you should hang the quilt up.
